Meditation
Talking to God doesn't have to be complicated. Simple, heartfelt prayers are all that's needed to get His attention. We can be tempted to make our prayers more elaborate, but God just wants us to be honest and open with Him. Let's not try to impress Him with our words but instead focus on having a genuine conversation with Him.
Prayer
Lord, help me to pray in a way that is genuine and sincere. I don't want to put on a show for You. I want You to be my closest friend, with me in every moment and every area of my life. I want to feel Your presence and security, and to be able to share Your love with others. Amen.
My Own Words and Interpretations
I used to think there was some fancy or special way to pray to God. That maybe you had to have some special anointing to get His attention or for Him to hear you but that's not so. All my life I've been surrounded by some of the best prayer warriors and for that example I am truly thankful. Some of us are only here today because of someone's prayers. God hears even the most silent of prayers. Sometimes even the ones not spoken with words but tears alone. God listens to the heart. True, heartfelt prayers is all it takes. Talk to God like He's your best friend or your loved one. Trust Him with everything. He definitely can do it better than we can no matter what it is.
